Serum and Plasma Products
We can supply fresh or frozen serum or plasma. Unless otherwise requested: (1) Fresh plasma/serum will be collected in the 24 hours before despatch and stored at 4 degrees celsius until packing in an esky with ice bricks during transport. (2) Frozen plasma/serum will be collected in the week prior to delivery, stored at -20o degrees celsius, and then packed into an esky with ice bricks during transport. If you require the plasma/serum to be transported frozen on dry ice, please specify this upon order as the freight costs will be higher. If you do not specify whether to use dry ice or ice brick, the samples will be sent on ice brick. Plasma anticoagulant: The regular anticoagulant used to collect plasma will be heparin unless a specific request for another anticoagulant is submitted. EDTA is also easily available but this may require a couple of days advance notice compared to using heparin. For pricing, please visit the ARC Price Lists.
